August 18, 2014 – After spending a few weeks on the East Coast, where he won a race at Anderson Speedway in South Carolina and gained valuable seat time at Charlotte Motor Speedway during the Jack In The Box Summer Shootout, Peyton Saxton took what he learned back West and set a track record en-route to winning the feature at Meridian Speedway in Meridian, Idaho.
For Peyton and his Third Gen Racing team, the win was a sweet one that paid off the hard work which had come before.
“I had a whole new setup in my car at Meridian,” Peyton said. “That was from what I learned while I was in North Carolina working with Dennis Lambert and his team. I put a lot of hours in at the shop when I wasn’t racing and that gave me a ton of knowledge that I didn’t have before. I really have to thank everyone in that whole organization for their support and their help while I was there. It took some getting used to, racing with the new setup, but once I learned how to drive the car to the way it is now, it has made all the difference!”
Peyton is heading to Wenatchee, Washington this weekend to compete on the “fastest 1/4-mile in the Northwest”, Wenatchee Valley Speedway.
